Prepare a dumpling dough from the given ingredients, form it into a roll and divide it into eight portions. Press the dough pieces lightly.

Place strawberries in the center, form dumplings and boil them in bubbling salted water for about 10 minutes. Lift out dumplings, drain.

Melt enough butter in a pan, toast breadcrumbs in it briefly, but do not let it get too dark.

Add strawberry dumplings, toss in it while shaking the pan and serve sprinkled with powdered or cinnamon sugar.
