A great pasta dish for any occasion:
Boil the pasta. “al dente” doesn’t make sense for this recipe, so rather soft boil.
Melt some butter in a large frying pan, add a little garlic granules. Add the ham cut into small “squares”, fry lightly (!).
*** Caution: the ham tends to become quite salty after frying!
Remove the frying pan from the stove and let it cool for 2-3 minutes.
Add the whipped cream.
Season everything together generously (otherwise it will be too sweet) with Tabasco and pepper. Season with a pinch of salt.
Make hot at low(!!!) temperature. I turn my gas stove to the lowest flame for this. The whipped cream must be lightly bubbling. *** Caution: Stir constantly. Do not burn the whipped cream on the edge of the pan, otherwise everything will be a case for the garbage can.
After about 5 minutes, the sauce thickens quickly. Sauce thickener etc. Is never necessary. If in doubt, simmer a little longer. Season again because the “thickening” will change the flavor of the whole thing.
Drain the pasta, mix everything together in a baking dish with the sauce, bring to the table. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese goes exceptionally well with it…..
