For the coffee cake, cream the butter, powdered sugar, cocoa and coffee.

Gradually stir in eggs and yogurt. Then mix in flour, baking powder and almonds. Pour the dough into a greased loaf pan (30 cm) and bake at 180° for about 60 minutes. Let cool.

Melt sugar with butter, add cream. Bring to the boil until the sugar has dissolved. Stir in 50 ml coffee and boil for 5 minutes. Allow to cool slightly and spread on the cake.

Preparation Tip:

Serve the coffee cake with a tasee of tea or coffee.
