Take a small screw jar (e.g. a jam jar) or a decorative bottle and fill it with sliced peperocini and basil leaves. Pour the olive oil over it, close the jar tightly and store it in a dark place. You might as well wrap the jar in aluminum foil to protect it from light. After a week, the oil will be ready to season or dress lettuce at any time.
