Grease a baking pan (approx. 30 x 40 cm) and dust with flour.

Put chocolate, fondant, etc. together in a bowl and melt in a water bath.

Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites to snow.

Cream room-warm butter with sugar, gradually add yolks and stir in melted chocolate.

Mix nuts and flour with baking powder and add to the butter-yolk-chocolate mixture together with the milk. Fold in the beaten egg white and pour into the baking pan.

Bake the rest of the cake at 160 °C.

Preparation Tip:

If there are fewer chocolate leftovers, either top up with cooking chocolate or reduce the quantities accordingly. If desired, cover the finished leftover cake with icing, sprinkle with powdered sugar or simply enjoy as is.
