Instructions:

For the chocolate waffles with salted caramel sauce, preheat the waffle iron.

Beat butter, sugar and eggs until fluffy. Add the flour, cocoa powder, milk and salt and mix well to form a smooth batter. Then stir in the baking powder and mineral water.

Pour 3 to 4 tablespoons of batter at a time onto the hot baking surfaces of the waffle iron and bake for about 2 to 3 minutes. Gradually finish baking the chocolate waffles.

For the salted caramel sauce, place water, sugar and vanilla sugar in a saucepan, bring to a boil and continue to simmer gently over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved. In the meantime, toast the pine nuts until golden brown. Pour the salted caramel sauce over the finished chocolate wafers with salted caramel sauce and sprinkle with pine nuts.

Preparation Tip:
