Cut the fish into cubes of about 2 cm. Peel the onion and chop very finely. Mix with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and fennel seeds. Pour over the fish cubes and marinate covered in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (even better overnight). Wash the lemon, pat dry and cut into wedges. Remove the fish cubes from the marinade and drain. Set the marinade aside. Thread the fish cubes and lemon wedges alternately onto wooden skewers and fry on the grill or in a pan without fat on all sides for about 4 minutes. Baste with marinade from time to time.
