For the pistachio cake in a jar, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in the eggs one by one. Mix flour and baking powder, add pistachios, mix both masses.

Grease the glasses (wider at the top than at the bottom) with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Fill in the mixture (2/3 high) and bake in a preheated oven at 175 °C for about 30-40 minutes (test with a stick).

Serve the pistachio cake in a glass with vanilla ice cream.

Preparation Tip:

Decorate the jars - there will be about 5 jars of 0.5 l each - nicely with a ribbon and give them as a gift. If you want to give the pistachio cake in a jar with a closed lid, fill the jar only halfway with the baking mixture.
