Cook the pears in the sugar water with cinnamon, orange peel and lemon zest. This takes 15 min. over medium heat. Remove the pears from the liquid and cool slightly. Melt the bitter chocolate in a saucepan and stir through with the whipped cream. Pour over the lukewarm pears and sprinkle with chopped pistachio nuts. If you like, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
