For Mama’s nut cake, separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff.

Beat egg yolks and sugar until foamy and gradually add water and oil. Then mix the nuts, grated chocolate, flour and baking powder and stir into the yolk mixture. Then carefully fold in the beaten egg whites.

Pour the mixture into an ovenproof, greased and floured pan and bake Mama’s Nut Cake at 175 degrees for about 1/2 hour.

Preparation Tip:

If you like, you can glaze Mama's nut cake with chocolate.
