Instructions:

For the berry tart, wash and dry the orange. Finely grate the peel and squeeze out the juice.

With your fingers, knead the cold butter or margarine cut into small pieces, the flour and the powdered sugar with the orange peels. Add about 50 ml of orange juice and quickly form the dough into a ball.

Roll through several times with the heels of your hands and form into a ball again. Let rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. In the meantime, crush the cookies. Place the dough in a greased tart pan and raise the edges.

Prick the bottom of the dough several times with a fork and sprinkle with the crushed cookies. The bottom should be completely covered. Now spread the berries (if frozen berries – do not defrost beforehand) evenly on the cookies. There should not be a cup.

Finally, sprinkle the granulated or cane sugar on top. Bake at 200°C hot air for about 30 minutes, until the dough is golden brown. The cookie layer absorbs the berry juice and the berry tart stays juicy as a result.

Preparation Tip:

The berry tart goes well with a curd cream made from low-fat curd and vanilla yogurt.
