A great cake recipe for any occasion:
Prepare a kneaded dough from the dough ingredients and refrigerate.
Peel apples, grate coarsely and mix with the remaining topping ingredients.
Roll out three quarters of the dough and place on a prepared baking sheet. Spread the apple mixture evenly on top. Roll out the remaining dough, cut into strips and place as a lattice over the apple mixture. Dilute the egg yolk with a little water and brush the lattice with it.
Bake the cake in a heated oven at 200 °C for about 30 minutes.
Brush the lattice with heated jam, then with a glaze of powdered sugar and juice of one lemon.
