Instructions:

For the pistachio striezel, put flour in a bowl. Add egg yolks, sugar and a pinch of salt.

Melt the butter, add the cold milk and crumble in the yeast. Knead everything together into a smooth yeast dough.

Let dough rise for 2 hours. After two hours knead dough together, roll out and spread with filling of white chocolate, pistachios and sugar.

Beat egg and glue edges of dough with it. Form the dough into a roll and brush with the remaining egg, sprinkle with hail sugar and let rise for another half hour.

Then bake the pistachio strudel at 160 °C for about 45 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

For a fresh taste, add some grated zest of an untreated lemon to the dough of the pistachio trie.
