Hello everyone,

Kasnokerln are dumplings, which are suitable as a main meal, relatively simple and quick to prepare, and still taste quite excellent.

Cut the white bread into small pieces, pour the milk, add the chopped onion, the herbs, the chopped garlic cloves and the three eggs and knead well. Chop the cheese and fold it into the dough.

Shape the dough into dumplings (not too big, as they will rise a little).

Take a saucepan with a steaming sieve or a molding insert and fill it with water (the water should not touch the dumplings). Add a little salt to the water and rub the strainer or mold with oil. When the water boils, place the dumplings in the sieve or mold and steam for 20 minutes.

Serve with fresh salad (e.g. with fresh mushrooms and garlic). Beforehand, perhaps a tasty starter soup.

As a drink fits a tart red wine.

Our tip: It is best to use fresh herbs for a particularly good aroma!
