Instructions:

First, boil the potatoes until soft, peel and mash with a masher while still hot.

For the filling, bring the milk, butter, sugar and vanilla sugar to the boil, remove from the heat and stir in the poppy seeds. Finally, add rum and allow to cool.

Knead the potatoes with the flour, soft butter, egg and 1 pinch of salt to a smooth dough.

Form it into a roll, cut off pieces and roll each into a disc.

Form balls from the filling. Wrap the balls with the dough slices, brush with egg and prick several times with a fork.

Spread on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in the oven at 180 °C for about 20 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

If you want it extravagant, fill the poppy seed tents additionally with coconut.
