For the salt sticks, knead wheat flour, water, fresh ferment and salt in a food processor for 10 minutes. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.

Knead again for 2 minutes, cut dough pieces to 80 g and shape into approx. 15 cm sticks.

Brush with water and sprinkle with salt and caraway seeds, let rise for another 15 minutes.

Heat oven to 200°C and bake for 15 minutes. Turn the salt sticks over and bake for another 5 – 10 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

You can top them saltines with ham and cheese or eat them just like that.
