Peel the potatoes and cut into slices. Scrape the rind off the cheese and cut the cheese into slices. Grease a gratin dish and layer potatoes and cheese. Sprinkle pepper, garlic, salt and kitchen herbs in between. The potato layer should be on top. Put into the oven heated to 200 °C and cook for 20 minutes. Now pour crème fraîche over the top and place in the oven for another 10 minutes.

Our tip: It is best to use fresh herbs for a particularly good aroma!
