Sift the flour into a suitable bowl and mix with the sugar. Add the beaten eggs and the milk. Mix with a whisk until there are no more lumps. Set aside. Make a caramel sauce with the sugar cubes and a little water. Pour the sauce into the bottom of a flan dish (or loaf pan). Bake in a hot oven (200 °C) for about 45 minutes to an hour.
