For the apple strudel, toast butter and breadcrumbs in a pan until golden. Peel apples and cut into wedges. Unwrap strudel dough and spread liquid butter between layers.

Put roasted crumbs on top, spread apples on top and season with sugar, cinnamon and clove powder. Fold in the sides and roll the strudels tightly, brush with the remaining butter.

Place on a coated baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C for about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar.

Preparation Tip:

If you like raisins, make the apple strudel with raisins. Enjoyed lukewarm with vanilla ice cream or with a vanilla sauce especially fine.
